  • “Dr. Cook has my highest recommendation as a psychotherapist. She is smart, insightful, professional and very compassionate. Without question she has been and continues to be one of the most important people in my life. Without her guidance and care - without having had the fortune to have my path cross her path - I would not have found the confident and well-adjusted person that was hidden within me. I owe her such profound gratitude for helping me to arrive at a glorious place of internal peace and profound joy that I did not know was possible.”

    M.M., Client

  • "When the effects of the medications had reached their limits, Dr. Cook always had something to add for the benefit of the patient. There really is not another psychologist with her training and capabilities in our city."

Neurologist Mark Corazza, M.D. Santa Barbara, CA

  • " I referred people in my congregation to Susan exclusively and I found my trust to be well founded."

Pastor Scott Bridges, Wallace Presbyterian Church, College Park, MD

  • It is located in a commercial office building in Golden with many other professionals, near I-70 and Youngfield, about one mile from Colorado Mills. The facilities also provide rooms for groups and easily accommodate wheelchairs. There is an elevator to my suite on the third floor of the building.

  • During the initial 75-minute evaluation with an adult client, the goal is to make an accurate assessment and diagnosis of the situation and to offer specific treatment recommendations. If the client is under the age of 17, I first meet with the parents separately from the child for the initial intake assessment.

  • I discovered early on that being available in a comfortable setting for the patient is one of the most important aspects of what I do. There are occasions when I have found it most advantageous to go to the client. I offer remote/telehealth visits, as well, using a HIPAA-secure platform. I am a member of PSYPACT, allowing me licensure reciprocity in many states other than the two in which I am actively licensed (i.e., Colorado and California) .

  • Those interested should call my confidential office phone (303-205-8491) and leave a voice message telling me when it is most convenient for me to call them or complete the online contact form below. I will return the call promptly and answer their question about my practice. We will discuss the nature of their concern and arrange an appointment if desired. This is a complimentary 15-20 minute phone consultation.

  • I have always enjoyed traveling, reading and cooking. My husband, two children and I enjoy hiking and many other outdoor activities and adventures.
